TRIPOLI, Libya - Libyan leaders and visiting U.S. Congress members were trying to put their two nations' rancorous past behind them, hoping a meeting with Col. Moammar Gadhafi and a visit to weapons sites would help clear the air.
"I don't think we can change history, but we also understand we can move together toward a new beginning," delegation leader Rep. Curt Weldon, R-Penn., said Sunday at the start of their visit.
